I'm abroad for all week #8. If you find it of any use, here's a
breakdown of what I would *personally* consider essential in the first
aid kit of a workshop:

* hydrogen Peroxide or any kind of external use disinfectant
* tweezers
* medical adhesive tape
* sterile gauzes
* elastic bandages
* adhesive bandages (assorted sizes)
* padded bandages
* triangular bandages
* bandage scissors
* instant cold packs
* single use (disposable) gloves (vynil or latex)
* barrier device for CPR (electroshock can cause cardiac arrest)

Nice to have but not fundamental (still *IMO*):

* Buttefly closure strips (can be manually done with tape)
* Cotton (sterile gauzes can do instead)
* Surgical mask (for reducing risk of infections to injuries)
* Antibacterial hand gel (idem)
* Emetics (useful in case of accidental poisoning)
* Tourniquet (in case of massive bleeding)
* Small plastic bags (severed fingers and perforating injuries to lungs)

In compiling the list above I considered:
* the kind of hazards we get in touch at Abbenay (blades and
  power-tools, electricity, heat/fire, chemicals),
* that serious injuries would be treated at a nearby hospital and we
  should only stabilise the victim for the time needed to transport
  him/her.
This is why I did not include stuff like a thermometer,
over-the-counter medicines, epipens, space blankets, more permanent
wound dressings like synthetic skin, etc...

I would like to stress once more that I am not a doctor, so if anybody
feels I missed out on something, speak up! :)

Mac.
