[Abbenay] router battery pack

Changing often might not be such a big problem as I'm not planning to use
the device more than, say, one or two hours a day maximum.

So, suppose I connect a series of 4 batteries (AA). Would that give me 6V,
right? Would adding another series of four in parallell double the battery
time? How long would "short" be? Hmmm...

I've been searching but I suspect that the results from battery pack patches
are simple in theory, yet possibly disappointing in practice. (That's why
I'm asking these trivial things.)
